🧺 CARE INSTRUCTIONS — AMAZONAS “CHICO / SALSA / TAHITI” ELLTEX HAMMOCKS
Material: ELLTex (Extra Long Lasting Textile) 65 percent cotton (recycled), 35 percent polyester

✅ Regular Use & Setup

Inspect the fabric, seams, and suspension ropes before each use.

Hang so the hammock forms a natural, deep curve, never tight or flat.

Keep clear of rough walls, fences, or abrasive surfaces.

Remove shoes, belts, jewellery, or anything that might snag the hammock.

Use only approved hanging systems rated for the hammock’s load capacity.

Protect the woven eyelets: these are made from many thin cotton strings braided together. When attaching the hammock to a fixing point, always use a smooth connector such as a carabiner, metal ring, or purpose made hammock hook. Do not attach the eyelets directly to rough rope or textured materials, as friction will quickly damage the thin fibres, causing the eyelet to wear, fray, and unravel.

🧼 Cleaning

Hand-wash preferred using lukewarm water and mild detergent.

If machine-washing:

Tie the suspension cords together to prevent tangling.

Place the hammock inside a large pillowcase or laundry bag.

Use a gentle 30 degree wash with mild detergent.

After washing, untie and shake out the hammock to restore shape.

Air-dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area.

Avoid tumble-drying, bleach, and fabric softener.

Although ELLTex is UV-resistant, avoid strong sunlight during drying to protect colour brightness.

🌧 Weather and Storage Care

ELLTex is weather-resistant, but still bring indoors during heavy rain, frost, or long damp periods.

Avoid leaving the hammock out in strong winds. Fabric can twist or strain the ropes.

Make sure the hammock is fully dry before storing.

Store loosely rolled in a breathable fabric bag, never sealed plastic.

Avoid greenhouses, conservatories, or windowed sheds, as indirect sunlight through glass still causes fading.

Protect from rodents in winter by storing inside a sealed, rodent-proof plastic container.

Keep away from heaters and open flames. Choose a cool, shaded indoor area.

🔍 Maintenance

Check the fabric and suspension cords regularly for wear, fraying, or mildew.

Spot-clean marks with warm water and mild soap.

Replace worn loops or ropes before use.

Re-tie knots if they become loose.

Do not jump, stand, or swing aggressively.

Never exceed the stated weight capacity.

Lie diagonally for the most comfortable and supportive position.

Protect from long UV exposure when not in use.

Rotate occasionally to balance colour fade and general wear.
