✅ Regular Use and Setup

Inspect the fabric, seams, and suspension ropes before each use.

Hang so the hammock forms a deep, natural curve (banana shape), never tight or flat.

Keep clear of sharp edges, rough walls, or abrasive ground surfaces.

Remove shoes, belts, or items that may snag the fabric.

Use only approved hanging systems rated for the hammock’s load capacity.

Protect the woven eyelets: these loops are made from many thin cotton strings braided together. When attaching the hammock to a fixing point, always use a smooth connector such as a carabiner, metal ring, or hammock hook. Do not attach the eyelets directly to rope or rough material, as friction can quickly damage the finer strands and cause the loop to fray and unravel.

🧼 Cleaning

Hand wash preferred using lukewarm water and mild detergent.

If machine washing:

Tie the suspension cords together to prevent tangling.

Place the hammock inside a large pillowcase or laundry bag.

Use a gentle 30 degree cycle with mild detergent.

After washing, untie and shake out the hammock to restore shape.

Air dry flat or hang in a shaded, well ventilated area until fully dry.

Do not tumble dry, bleach, or use fabric softener.

Avoid drying in strong direct sunlight for long periods, as UV weakens cotton fibres over time.

🌧 Weather and Storage Care

Bring indoors or undercover during rain, frost, or prolonged damp weather, as untreated cotton absorbs moisture easily.

Avoid leaving the hammock out in strong winds, as the fabric can twist or strain the suspension ropes.

Always ensure the hammock is fully dry before folding or storing.

Store loosely rolled in a breathable fabric bag, never sealed plastic.

Avoid greenhouses, windowed sheds, or conservatories, as indirect light through glass still causes UV fading.

During winter, protect from rodents by storing in a sealed, rodent proof plastic container with a tight lid.

Keep away from heaters and open flames, and store in a cool, shaded indoor area.
