✅ Regular Use and Setup

Inspect fabric, stitching, ropes, and wooden spreader bars before first use.

Hang so the hammock forms a gentle curve, never fully tight or flat.

Keep clear of rough walls, brickwork, or sharp or abrasive surfaces.

Remove shoes, belts, or items that may snag or damage the fabric.

Use only approved hanging systems rated for the hammock’s load capacity.

Protect the woven eyelets: these loops are made from many thin cotton strands braided together. Always attach them to a smooth connector such as a carabiner, metal ring, or hammock hook. Do not attach eyelets directly to rope or rough materials, as friction can quickly damage the finer strands and cause fraying or unraveling.

🧼 Cleaning

Hand wash only using lukewarm water and mild detergent.

For easiest cleaning, wash in a clean bath or large tub:

Place the hammock gently in the bath.

The wooden spreader bars can get wet, but must be dried thoroughly afterwards.

If possible, rest the bars on the bath edges so the fabric section is mainly submerged.

Gently agitate the fabric to loosen dirt.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Hang to air dry in a shaded, ventilated area.

Ensure the wooden bars are fully dry before storing to avoid mildew or warping.

Do not bleach, tumble dry, or use harsh cleaners.

Avoid drying in strong direct sunlight for long periods, as UV can fade colours and weaken cotton fibres.

🌧 Weather and Storage Care

Bring indoors or under cover during rain, frost, or prolonged damp weather, as cotton absorbs moisture easily.

💨 Avoid leaving the hammock out in strong winds — spreader bars act like sails and can cause tipping, swinging, or damage.

Always ensure the hammock is completely dry before storing.

Store loosely folded in a breathable fabric bag, never sealed plastic.

Avoid greenhouses, windowed sheds, or conservatories, as indirect sunlight through glass causes slow UV fading.

During winter, protect from rodents by storing in a sealed, rodent proof plastic container with a tight fitting lid.

Keep away from heaters and open flames; choose a cool, shaded indoor space for long term storage.

Regularly inspect the fabric, ropes, and spreader bars for wear, fraying, or mildew.

Spot clean minor marks with warm water and mild soap.
