Over 30 years ago our founder Matthias traveled through South America in a canoe, sleeping in a hammock he made with the help of the Huaorani Indian tribe. It transformed his experience and gave him the rest he needed to travel through the dense rainforest, and avoid being bitten by the many critters that roamed the forest floors.

Returning to Germany he began to sell hammocks to his friends and family. Eventually, demand grew and now Amazonas is recognised as one of the best manufacturers of hammocks in the world with factories in South America and around Europe.

Whether colourful or simple elegance - find the Brisa that suits you best! This outdoor hammock set brings a touch of Colombian relaxation culture into your garden and comes with a Brisa hammock, wooden stand and all the fixings you need to get started.

The Brisa Hammock Set can be left outside thanks to its weather-proof coating, but this coating doesn't impact comfort, with the Brisa Hammock being particularly soft and comfortable, whilst also being resistant to the weather and fast drying.

It is paired with the Elipso Nature Larch wooden frame, which is a centrepiece for any garden and built to last. Thanks to a high-pressure lamination process and a special waterproofing method, this stand can be left outside throughout the whole hammock season. 

Siberian larch wood is particularly weather-resistant and thus ideal for use in the garden or other outdoor areas.

Moving back onto the hammock, the weft threads on the selvages are reinforced by doubling and are therefore particularly tearproof. The number of suspension cords contributes to the comfort and durability of a hammock. The more there are, the more evenly the weight is distributed - for a feeling of weightlessness! The functional fibres were specially developed for the particular requirements of outdoor hammocks. It is easy to maintain, quick-drying and weatherproof.
