Over 30 years ago our founder Matthias traveled through South America in a canoe, sleeping in a hammock he made with the help of the Huaorani Indian tribe. It transformed his experience and gave him the rest he needed to travel through the dense rainforest, and avoid being bitten by the many critters that roamed the forest floors.

Returning to Germany he began to sell hammocks to his friends and family. Eventually, demand grew and now Amazonas is recognised as one of the best manufacturers of hammocks in the world with factories in South America and around Europe.

The Postura Cayo Hammock Set comes with a beautiful double hammock made in the traditional Colombian way. It has Cadejos which are twisted recycled cotton 'chains' which help distribute the weight perfectly for superior comfort.

The stand is easy to assemble and adjustable, both with the height and length meaning it can accomodate lots of different hammocks in the future. Made from powder coated steel the stand is weatherproof so ideal for your back garden. Bring it indoors too if you'd prefer - the built in wheel makes it easy to move around wherever you feel like hanging out.

Note on colours: The Cayo comes in three colours, the green, brown (like a mocca with pink strips) and also pink (which has brown and pink)
