Over 30 years ago our founder Matthias traveled through South America in a canoe, sleeping in a hammock he made with the help of the Huaorani Indian tribe. It transformed his experience and gave him the rest he needed to travel through the dense rainforest, and avoid being bitten by the many critters that roamed the forest floors.

Returning to Germany he began to sell hammocks to his friends and family. Eventually, demand grew and now Amazonas is recognised as one of the best manufacturers of hammocks in the world with factories in South America and around Europe.

The Colada Double Hammock Set includes a hammock, stand and all the fixings you need to get hammocking. With colors matching that of the drink, the Colada is a real stand out hammock set available in super bright colours, typical of La Siesta.

This hammock is made from HamacTex® is a polypropylene fiber that was specially designed for its use in hammocks. It looks and feels very much like cotton, but is weatherproof and fast-drying.

It comes with the Elipso Nature Larch Hammock Stand from La Siesta that is made with high quality materials designed to support your chosen hammock with safety and comfort in mind. Thanks to a high-pressure lamination process and a special waterproofing method, this stand can be left outside throughout the whole hammock season.

Siberian larch wood is particularly weather-resistant and thus ideal for use in the garden or other outdoor areas.
