Over 30 years ago our founder Matthias traveled through South America in a canoe, sleeping in a hammock he made with the help of the Huaorani Indian tribe. It transformed his experience and gave him the rest he needed to travel through the dense rainforest, and avoid being bitten by the many critters that roamed the forest floors.

Returning to Germany he began to sell hammocks to his friends and family. Eventually, demand grew and now Amazonas is recognised as one of the best manufacturers of hammocks in the world with factories in South America and around Europe.

The Corda Hammock Set is a cooling and convenient set from HAMACA. The hammock is a traditional rope design which allows uninterrupted air-flow, so you will stay cool when gently swaying on a hot day. The stand is easy to assemble and easy to adjust. This is the perfect set up on those hot sunny days - the hammock will keep you cool and move the stand to the best position in or out of the sunshine.

The hammock is 139cm wide, so there is plenty of room for two adults to spread out, and even room for children as well. The rope is made from pure new cotton which is strong and comfortable to lay on.

The stand is made from powder coated steel making it weatherproof and therefore ideal for your back garden. The best thing about the stand is that it's adjustable for hammocks between 300-398cm, so you could get a second hammock on it and not have any issues with fitting. It's almost a one size-fits-all-hammock stand.
