NEW 2022: How to relax as a parent

How to Relax with Hammock
The current pandemic is a stressful time for everyone
Thankfully, even if you’re having some trouble developing good habits, we’ve got a few ways to help you unwind and relax. The best way of doing that, in our biased opinion, is to hang a hammock!

Not only does its structural integrity mean it’s capable of withstanding not only the harshest winds, heaviest troubles and all but the kids, but its gentle swing is widely regarded as one of the best ways to unwindBut where does all this embodiment of peace stem from? Well, it all starts from your Vestibular System, a small part inside of your ear in charge of carrying neuron signals to the brain.

But what’s interesting about that?

The Vestibular System plays a significant role for an autistic person. This system balances us as we move, it orientates us within our surroundings. Think about a time when you’ve woken up in an unfamiliar place (first morning on your holiday for example). Your Vestibular System will use sensory perceptions to try and coordinate itself. This can often be stressful, especially for those who may have some form of Vestibular dysfunction.

Hammocks are a special tool that helps to soothe children and improves their balance. The natural swinging motion of a hammock is beneficial for those who have issues with their sensory system as it works to restore the Vestibular System. Furthermore, the cocooning of the hammock around their body gives an added sense of security and comfort. In addition, hammocks also being used to treat symptoms in children who have ADHD or/and Asperger’s

At Simply Hammocks we care deeply about providing a satisfying easement to peace, helping those less advantaged to stand on a pedestal proud to be who they are.
