Over 30 years ago our founder Matthias traveled through South America in a canoe, sleeping in a hammock he made with the help of the Huaorani Indian tribe. It transformed his experience and gave him the rest he needed to travel through the dense rainforest, and avoid being bitten by the many critters that roamed the forest floors.

Returning to Germany he began to sell hammocks to his friends and family. Eventually, demand grew and now Amazonas is recognised as one of the best manufacturers of hammocks in the world with factories in South America and around Europe.

Vista Tree Tent is a convertible Tree Tent built off of our durable, fabric Trillium Hammock, the Vista includes a removable bug mesh lining and a roof kit with an easy-to-assemble pole configuration and a 100%-waterproof, UV-resistant sunshade for a wide open, three-sided view.

Ideal for the backyard or in the park, it has the excitement and stability of a traditional tree house with added versatility and comfort.

Set up another Trillium or Trillium XL Hammock underneath to create our famous, multi-story 'Stack,' or quickly convert any Trillium Hammock into a Tree Tent with the Vista Roof Kit and bug mesh combo.

Everything you need to get off the ground packs neatly into a stylish, compact duffle bag including the hammock, the poles, the rain-fly, the mesh, three ratchets, and three 19’ lines of flat webbing.

Vista Hacks
Extra Trillium floors can be purchased allowing the Vista Tree Tent to become a multi-story camping solution that can sleep three adults on each story by stacking hammocks underneath. You can have an enormous amount of living space over two, three or four extra levels - the sky's the limit! Note: The Vista roof cannot be fully sealed and is therefore not suitable for extreme weather or very heavy rain.
