What is this product used for?
Nikwax Tech Wash Travel Gel is a high-performance cleaner for technical outdoor gear, including:
- Waterproof jackets
- Hiking trousers
- Rain gear
- Synthetic outdoor apparel
It removes dirt, sweat, and residues that compromise the waterproofing of breathable fabrics, helping to restore performance and prolong gear life.
How do I use the product?
Hand Wash:

Fill a sink or basin with warm water.

Add a small amount of Tech Wash Gel (roughly a couple of squeezes).

Add garments and agitate gently.

Soak for 5–10 minutes.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Hang to dry.
Machine Wash:

Place garments in the washing machine.

Use two squeezes of Tech Wash Gel in the detergent drawer.

Wash on a normal or gentle cycle.

Air dry or tumble dry if garment care label allows.
How do I store the product?
- Store in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid extreme heat, freezing, or direct sunlight.
- Keep bottle upright and sealed when not in use.

Can I use this on a hammock?
✅ Yes – with some considerations.
Tech Wash is safe for cleaning synthetic travel hammocks made from ripstop nylon, polyester, or parachute silk. It will remove dirt, oils, and residues without damaging the fabric or coating.
❌ Not recommended for cotton or blended fabric hammocks, as they may absorb and retain too much product, leading to patchiness or over-softening.
