Been using this 8.5 years!

This was my first hammock. And I am still using and abusing it 😂
It’s super strong, light weight. It’s survived heigh winds, accidental 50°c washing machine adventure, and it’s provided me some epic moments in the wild and wonderful.

A must have!!

Wonderful product to match the service

This is our second one of these. The first lasted four years and would have lived longer had we treated it better and not left it out in all sorts of weather when we weren’t using it. At that time we also bought the frame, which is still going strong having had a rub down and some varnish.
Ordering on the website was a breeze and the folks were wonderful in communicating each step of progress after they received the order.
Quick delivery and in perfect condition. Here’s to at least another four years of use.
Thoroughly recommended.

GREAT Globo Hanging Chair & World-Class Customer Service

The chair, stand, and pillows are quality items (not to mention really beautiful). There was some confusion with shipping the three items, but customer service was easy to work with and corrected the issue quickly and professionally. Excellent purchase and great company to do business with!

Not sure how to keep it clean…?

Our hammock was comfortable but at 3 years old it looked stained (possibly from sun tan lotion) and had black mould/mildew (only used for holidays, never left out post Summer).
So I cleaned it, and stupidly tried mould remover spray when it wouldn’t clean up - it ripped the same season so assuming I weakened the fabric.

I’ve bought the same one again, they don’t have a darker colour, but I won’t clean it this time.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to leave your review – although we're a little unsure what to make of this one! 😊

It sounds like your original Tobago gave you three years of comfortable use, but unfortunately developed some staining/mildew while being stored between holidays. You then tried a mould-removal product and found that the fabric weakened and ripped during the same season.

We really wish you'd contacted us before trying the mould remover, as we'd have been happy to advise on cleaning and caring for the fabric. Some cleaning products can be quite harsh on textiles, particularly products designed specifically to attack mould.

We also wish you'd contacted us when looking for the replacement, as we have lots of darker hammock options available and would have happily helped you find something suitable.

Reviews are obviously important, but contacting our customer care team directly when there's a problem gives us the opportunity to actually help and find a solution, rather than us discovering the issue afterwards.

We'll drop you an email directly to see if there's anything we can help with.

And importantly, thank you for choosing another hammock from us despite the difficulties with your previous one. We hope the new one gives you plenty more chilled-out moments – particularly with the lovely summer we've been having! ☀️

Poor quality

Hi Kevin,

We're really sorry to see this, particularly as your review simply says “Poor quality”, so unfortunately we don't know what problem you experienced with the hammock.

The Tobago is our smallest and most budget-friendly adult hammock, but that doesn't mean we expect poor quality from it. It's a product we've sold successfully for many years and one we've found to be strong, reliable and rather lovely for its size and price.

We really wish you'd contacted us directly when you experienced the problem. If there was a quality issue, we would have wanted to know about it and would have happily helped arrange a return so that we could investigate.

We're going to email you directly, even though some time has now passed, because we don't like the thought of one of our products leaving you disappointed with your experience of Simply Hammocks.

If you could tell us a little more about what went wrong, we'd genuinely like the opportunity to understand it and see what we can do.
