The exceptionally comfortable, thickly upholstered hanging chair.

The Fat Chair is the perfect hanging chair for either indoors or outdoors. The elegantly curved armrests are the product of painstaking craftsmanship and are made from weather-resistant treated spruce. The high-class laminated gluing makes them particularly stable and secure.

The extra-thick, water-repellent, and rapidly drying upholstery is your guarantee of perfect relaxation.

The highly durable Agora cover is as soft as cotton, but it is exceptionally light-resistant and weatherproof. It is also water-repellent, proof against mildew, insensitive to dirt, and easy to clean.

Your Fat Chair can be suspended either from two points on the ceiling or (for maximum flexibility) using the Taurus frame (not included).

The adjustable chain suspension system means that the seat angle can be adjusted in no time at all. The chair comes with two cloth sleeves which can be used as a cover for the chain suspensions.

The Taurus frame within this set is the best possible place for suspending your hanging chair. Whether in the drawing-room, on the balcony, or in the garden, with the Taurus you can suspend your hanging chair anywhere flexibly and securely without any need of trees, ceilings or walls.

The top-quality layer-glued spruce wood comes from sustainably managed European forests. It is resistant to all weather as a result of dip-impregnation and the galvanised fittings, and is designed to last for years.

The Taurus comes with a specially developed chain suspension system, which can be adjusted in such a way that it is suitable for many AMAZONAS hanging chairs.

we got one in the office!
One of the biggest wins for us is how flexible it is - we can easily shift it from indoors to outside depending on weather and mood. The footprint is quite substantial (approx. 145 × 120 cm) so you’ll want to make sure you’ve got the space, but that larger base gives it a very stable feel. Space wise I'd advise measuring first if you have a smaller room.
Overall: perfect for someone looking for a high-quality, moveable hanging-chair stand that doesn’t compromise on looks or strength. Highly recommend.

Hooked it into my pergola -really solid piece of kit. It’s stainless steel, so it won’t rust or damage the wood, which is a big plus. The little nylon section between the clip and the closed eye is a nice touch too . no clunky screeching noises when you move!

As a long time user of your Amazonas Gigante hammock I thought I’d give you a bit of feedback/information which you may find helpful. Firstly, the hammock. A great bit of kit that I have had for probably 5 years now. Despite lots of use, it is not showing signs of any discernable wear. Fantastic for the family when they were younger and I love it, as when the weather is scorching, it’s a cool place to sleep in overnight.
