What is this product used for?

Restore Durable Water Repellency (DWR):
It provides a water‑beading surface to resist rain and moisture—making wetting‑out much less likely.

Protect against UV damage:
Synthetic fabrics can lose up to 50% of their strength after just two weeks of continuous sun exposure. Solar Proof forms a UV barrier that helps double the lifespan of gear by preventing UV degradation and preserving fabric strength.

How do I use the product?

1. Clean your tent/gear first
   Use Nikwax Tech Wash or just rinse off dirt.
2. Set up your tent
   Or lay the gear flat. It can be wet or dry.

3. Apply Solar Proof. Spray or sponge it evenly on the outside. For the concentrate, mix 1 part product with 2.5 parts water. Use about 50ml per square meter. Wait 2 minutes then wipe of any left with a damp cloth. Let it air dry fully. Don’t pack it up until it’s completely dry.

How do I store the product?

• Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources and freezing temperatures
•  Keep in an upright position.
• Keep the cap tightly closed. This prevents evaporation and contamination
• keep out of reach of children and pets.

Can I use this on a hammock?

Yes depending on the material

Travel Hammocks:

-Ripstop Nylon - Safe to use.

-Polyester- Safe to use.

Parachute Silk (nylon-based)- Safe to use.

Fabric Hammocks:

EllTex (Polyester/Cotton Blend)-  Use with Caution as the cotton may absorb unevenly.(Test on small area first.) May not get full waterproofing benefits.

Recycled Brazilian Cotton:  Not recommended. ⚠️ Poor adhesion and potential discoloration or patchiness.
